The Cat's Paw Nebula
A Celestial Feline in Scorpius
Description
View a monochrome mosaic of the Cat's Paw Nebula and the War and Peace Nebula at this page here.
The Cat's Paw Nebula, which got its name for obvious reasons, is an emission nebula and star-forming region in the constellation of Scorpius. It covers a large area of the sky just slightly larger than that of the full moon, although being much fainter, it requires a large telescope and a very dark sky to see visually.
