The Blue Horsehead Nebula
A Celestial Stallion

Description
The Blue Horsehead Nebula is a reflection/absorption nebula in the constellation of Scorpius. The blue colours come from light reflecting off cosmic dust, while the brown colours are dark absorption nebulae that block light from the background star field.
This was a rather challenging target as it's quite faint, but the skies were superbly transparent enough for this capture. I could barely see the outline in each exposure, but after integrating nearly 3 hours worth of data, we can see it in all its grandeur.
